Returning icons to programme list

Dear all,

How do I return items to the programme list from
desktop? My children have put all the games to show as
desktop icons and in the programme list the games section
is empty. Can I put them back in, reducing the number of
items showing on desktop page? Word does not show up on
desktop or in the programme list..how can I get it back?

Drag and drop them back where they should be !
As you drag, and are over the start-button it will open, then 'All
Programes' etc, drop where you want them.
