Retrieving lost files

I was running WIN 2000 on a FAT 32 system and formatted
the drive. Then I installed WIN XP on the same partition
using NTFS. What are my chances of retrieving data that
was on the previous FAT 32 partition. I need the best
software out there. Any advice what will do the job for
me.
