Retrieving and displaying data from an Access database

Novice alert! I am trying to use Frontpage to retrieve and display data from
an Access DB. The "Help" directory tells me to chose Insert>Database>Results.
When I try this, "Results" is not selectable. I also chose a route that said
choose Insert>Database>Data View, but when I select Dataview, I get a
dialogue box that tells me I can only use this on servers that support
SharePoint. What do I do?
 
At this stage you're probably working on a page, rather that within a Frontpage
"web". Create a new web, or open an existing web before attempting to insert any
of the FP component features.
 
Most likely, you don't have database added. Click on Tools/Site Settings,
click on the last option. If your database is not there, click Add to add new
database connection. These above options are in frontpage 2003. Hope this
helps.

I will give this a try. Makes perfect sense, since I know I haven't done this
yet. I really appreciate your help.

You are correct, I have been working only on a page. I will try opening a
web. Thank you very much for your answer.
