retrieve my document

My windows had a problem. I reinstalled widows. Now when it comes up,
starts with 2 options of windows that one of them is old one that it
doesn't comes up .how I can retrieve my document from old windows?
And in new windows I don't have drive A:/(diskette) how I can bring
it?

Hi,

Your old documents should be placed c:\Document and settings\< user name

\<username> - documents ... if we assume that old Windows was installed on

C: drive (or rather first partition).

About floppy: check first if it was detected in Device Manager (Control
Panel -> Performance and Maintance -> System -> Hardware) and correctly
installed. If it wasn't detected check in BIOS if floppy is enabled. If is
enabled and Windows can't see it or can't install drivers correctly floppy
can be damaged (I have never met when Windows cant install floopy).

I assume you are talking about the startup menu :

Here are 2 ways (1st recommended):

1. Start > Run
Type msconfig > Click OK
Go to "BOOT.INI" tab
Click the button "Check all boot paths"
Follow the instructions to remove the invalid line.
