Retrieve deleted mail

I have been sorting my e-mail into individual folders -
and when I went to my sent files everything has been
deleted - what happened? and can I get the sent items
back? I really need the messages for reference.

What version of Outlook are you using? Note: this group does not support
Outlook Express.
