Retrieve address book from backup

Before doing a clean install of Vista 64 bit I ran a complete backup using XP
to my external drive but Vista restore says I have not run a backup to be
restored. All I want to do is extract my address book from that backup.

Can someone help me with this problem?

Outlook doesnt have an address book.
All OL data is contained in a *.pst file
Outlook Express, a completely different app., has an address book
If you used the default NT backup app, in WinXP, this may well be
incompatible with the Vista version
Suggest you post to a Vista group
