i recently had to get a new hard drive and reload all my applications
onto it. i can still access the data on my now slave drive and i have
tried coping the outlook folder from the slave drive to the new master
drive however i can't get any old e-mails or contacts to work. is there
something i am missing? i am running windows xp pro

i go to documents and setting application data microsoft outlook and
copy that fold to the same one on my master.

how can i go about finding my old contacts and e-mails?

thank you so much in advance

Scan your old HD for a file whose type is .pst and in Outlook, click
File>Open>Outlook Data File, browse to that file, select it, and click Open.
