Retaining window size

Almost 100% of the time I click on a shortcut to Windows Explorer, or the
..scf file itself, the window continues to open non maximized, even though
the shortcut specifically is optioned to open maximized. I have tried every
trick in the book, closing the maximized window while pressing ctrl, etc.

Why does Explorer not remember these defaults? And how can I set a default
so that when I open Explorer, the windo is maximized?

Thanks

Or your quick launch is corrupted.
Copy and paste the five lines below into Notepad.

[Shell]
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop

Then save it as Show "Desktop.scf" (no quotes) once done, file it to;
C:\Documents and Settings\<<username>>\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch
