Resume from standby without logon

I have a problem with XP Pro embedded version.
I use automatic logon (without user/password screen) on a pencomputer. When
I use any powerscheme with standby function, I most of the time get the logon
screen with the cntrl-alt-del function followed by the request to fill in
username and password. As I use a pencomputer without (USB) keyboard a cannot
use this cntrl-alt-del function. I therefore have to switch off the unit and
logon automatically again. This could lead and has lead to dataloss in open
applications.

Is it possible to resume from stand-by without having to logon again like
when I start the unit from powerdown? Is there an option in the registry like
the auto-logon option (MS KB 315231)?

In the desktop version of XP, there are two places to check:
Display> Screensavers: uncheck option to require password on resume
Power Options> Advanced: a similar password required option that can be
toggled on or off.
