I am currently using Windows XP with IE6. But I recently
found out that when I click on the
'Internet Option' in the 'Tools' button, I get a
Restrictions windows saying : "This operation has been
cancelled due to restrictions in effect on this computer.
Please contact your system administrator". What can I do
to remove this restriction?

You may need to fix your registry:

http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/RepairTabs.reg
1) Restores the missing Tabs in IE (usually spyware related)
2) Unlocks the grayed-out Home Page section
3) Removes the Administrator message in Internet Options

Download, right click it and select merge.

In regedit look for this key. Delete it or change all to (Ignore the
Arrow sysmbol)
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control Panel]
"ProgramsTab"=dword:00000001
"ContentTab"=dword:00000001
"GeneralTab"=dword:00000001
"ConnectionsTab"=dword:00000001
"AdvancedTab"=dword:00000001
"SecurityTab"=dword:00000001
"PrivacyTab"=dword:00000001

Change the 00000001 to 00000000 or Just delete the values.
All oses. There maybe more than one key on Nfts systems.
Reboot.
