restriction message

I am getting an error message every time i try to open an
application, which says "this operation has been cancelled
because of restrictions in place on this computer." Has
anybody seen this and know what to do about it?

Hi Zareh,

Is your computer part of domain or larger corporate network? When did you
first get this message? Did anything change on your system at that time
(patch installation, service pack installation)...

hi mike,
thanks for the reply. No, my computer is not part of any
doomain or network, just a personal home computer. I was
playing a game, closed it out, and all of a sudden,
couldn't do anything else. There were no installations,
no changes at all, it was totally out of the blue.

Do you have administrator privileges when you try to run the applications?
