How can in a restricted profile, some programs work great and other not? do I
really have to give the profile full control to fix the problem. The solution
(resctricted administration) , could be my solution but I really want to
understand how it comes some programs working well, and some not. especially
MS WORD with his problem while the other office programs have no problem.
Normally these programs don't need administration privilege to execute.

Virtural Daemon Manager v4.10 : registry acces error after I want to make
sure that the program starts automatically after starting the pc.

MS word (Ms office is installed : excel, powerpoint, acces: publisher ): MS
word is showing everytime the windows installer after starting this program.
the others (excel, powerpoint, ... ) are ok.

SKYPE 3.8: I got a message ; in skype an error occured, this program has to
be closed. I can send a report to microsoft, but If I choose to do, i got the
following message (my own words): an active internetconnection needed (which
I have) but an errormessage appears after I click on OK : runtime error 216
at 0040450E .

windows messenger, yahoo messenger, paltaks, nero,: works fine.

After giving full rights, then I have no problems. but I don't want to give
a restricted profile full administration rights. is there a way to solve this
issue?

Multiposting makes things more difficult for you and more frustrating for
those who might answer your query. Please look into cross-posting and see
my answer to you in another newsgroup.

Hi Shenan Stanley

Thanks for your answer, I have read in the other post. Reason why I placed
my question in two places, is because I don't know in which categorie it
belongs. I was afraid I wouldn't get an answer.

Solution: I can give full rights and then see in registry keys how things
are set, then I change the account back to restricted and see the
differences. If there is another better , easier , solution, please inform me
about it, I'm new at this.

With kind regards

Hi Shenan Stanley

I have done some searching in this microsoft community. I think I understand
why some programs don't work well. something to do with the programm itself,
that is not written for multiusers etc. I'l find my way in this.

But the ms word problem is still a problem I don't understand. after I start
ms word in the restricted profile I got the windows installer. After a while,
ms word goes open.

Strange isn't it?

Not necessarily.
What version of Microsoft Word/Excel/etc?

Have you tried removing Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc) from your
computer, cleaning up individual user profiles, installing Microsoft Office
(Word, Excel, etc) fresh onto your computer and then seeing if the same
problem occurs? It could be you have some corruption in your profiles/the
installation.

Asking a question in more than one newsgroup is fine. But there are two ways
to do it; as Shenan said, one of them (crossposting) is fine, the other
(multiposting, which you did) is
terrible.

Here's my standard post on that subject:
Please do not send the same message separately to more than one newsgroup
(called multiposting). Doing so just fragments the thread, so someone who
answers in one newsgroup doesn't get to see answers from others in another
newsgroup. And for those who read all the newsgroups the message is
multiposted to, they see the message multiple times instead of once (they
would see it only once if you crossposted instead).

If you must send the same message to more than one newsgroup, please do so
by crossposting (but only to a *few* related newsgroups).

Hi Ken Blake

I will nt do it anymore. but What I have done is multiposting. How do I
then
crostpost a question? I don't see any button for it at all. Or do I have
to
read first some kind of userguide? :)

I see that you're posting from the web site interface. I can't answer your
"how do I" question with respect to it, but I can point out that the web
site interface is, in my view, the worst possible way to participate in
these newsgroups.

The reason you're having such problems is that you are using the web
interface to read this newsgroup--it's the slowest, clunkiest, most
error-prone method there is. Do yourself a favor and switch to a newsreader,
such as Outlook Express, which comes with Windows.
