Hi,

How to restrict the users taking printouts. I want to
apply a rule like MARKETING DEPARMENT people shouldn't
take more than 2 pages

Any Help in this regard will be highly appreciated

Regards

Chip

Print it in LARGE letters and post it at the printer. Or threaten to
fire them if they insist on printing to much.

you can only give someone access to print or u dont... theres no way of
setting a quota. How ever if u have the time and patience, set up auditing
on the printer and as Bob suggested make sure every one knows that ur
auditing the printer.
;-)

Well.. I think Auditing is the only thing i can do
presently. But it would be great if Microsoft
Incorporates "Print Quotas" as they did for "Disk
Quotas"..;)

BOB & KCVV thanks for your inputs.

Regards

Chip

I'm sure there are third party applications that can do this (although I
don't know of any off hand). When I was in school we had quotas on the
number of pages we could print.

Remember, even IF you cold do this "quota"/2 page limit, a user can
still click 47 times on the print button. It's not remotely simular to
disk quota where you limit total space used.
