Restory Registry Key for WIA Service

P

Phil C.

Hi. I had a problem a couple of months ago where my WinXp Pro Sp2 system
would hang on shutdown. I seemingly traced it to a problem with my Microtek
scanner and the WIA service. Disabling the service caused the Os to
shutdown fine again. Later I found I had stisvc errors in the event log, so
I used sc delete to remove stisvc, which apparently also removes the WIA
listing from the services.

Today I had some problems with booting, and the error log said the the WIA
service had hung, and sure enough it was listed again in the services.
Somehow it regenerated itself.
I disabled it and used sc delete to remove stisvc. Only now I still have a
hung shutdown.

I understand that the StiSvc exists as a key under
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\StiSvc

Can someone export that key to text and reply to this post with the text of
the key so that I can restore WIA and see if it again can fix this shutdown
problem?

Thanks,

Phil
