Reinstall Microsoft Word. As to the Printer, go to Printers and Faxes in
Control Panel, delete the printer, accept the offer to delete files no
longer being used, reboot and reinstall the printer drivers.
The above assumes both your version of Word and your printer are XP
compatible, since you gave us no indication of the version of Word you are
using or printer make and model, if the above doesn't work, I can only
assume neither the version nor the model are compatible with XP.
