Recently I tried to use some kind of freeware program to edit my
windows XP logon screen. I didn't really like it, so I removed the
program, but now my logon screen still has the changed that that
program made, and I can't seem to get it back to normal. The 2 logon
pictures use the chess board pic, so I put my own pictures on the PC,
went thru the CP and told it to use my pics, but it won't. In the CP
under users it lists my pictures as the ones used, but they are not
there on the logon screen. How do I get this logon back to the
original? I suppose it will invlove editing the registry, but I don't
know where in the registry I will find this.
I have tried a couple of free programs that said they are supposed to
restore the xp logon; one of them did not run, and other did not make
any changes. I've also used 'registry cleaning' programs and still no
change. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
