Restoring pst / office data file

HELP PLEASE. I have had to reinstall Outlook and I can't resore the saved pst
file ( the file description states 'Office Data File' ) Being a bit of a
'Dumbo' I can't remember how I saved the file, I might have used the archive
tool !!! Plese someone help this old fool find his lost data, Regards Philip
 
Sounds like the same prob I'm having Philip - I don't have a pst file, just
took the 4 files I do have to a mates and her Outlook can't open any of them
- doh! What's happening - have they been lost forever??!!!

Can anyone help us out???!!!!
