Restoring Outlook.pst - Kinda urgent.

Last night before I went to sleep, I copied outlook.pst to a USB stick for backup.

Since then I received and responded to a few emails.

I now want to delete my current outlook.pst and use the one from my memory stick from last night. (long story why)

Can I simply delete outlook.pst and replace it with the one on my memory stick? I don't mind losing those few emails I received and responded to.

Would this be ok?

That should be ok. I would rename the pst-file to .old first before actually
deleting it. Just to make sure your backup you made was actually successful

Hi. Thanks for your response.

It turns out that I have to reformat my machine and re install the operating system.

Is it ok to do this aftet I format my computer andre install outlook.

1) Open outlook and go through the new account setup procedure.

2) Close outlook and delete outlook.pst from the default folder

3) Copy to the default outlook folder my backed up outlook.pst file.

Is this ok ?
