Restoring or rolling regestry back to previous Date

Does anyone one know how or if you can Restore or roll the
regestry back in 2000 to a previous Date like you could do
with Windows 98? I need to recover some vital data from
two or three days ago. I was able to recover similar data
that way with windows 98. Very important data that needs
to be recovered.

Not like in W9x. No.
Do you have any System State backups from that time?
Do you happen to have made a registry backup at that time?

One copy of the system's registry hive files should exist in %
systemroot%\repair\Regback\ from the last ntbackup SystemState or
"ERD" (with "Also copy..." checked).

Perhaps look into ERUNT for future needs.
