Restoring from System State vs reinstall drivers

Hello,
I just finished installing SP2 update to my Win XP Pro setup, and was
wondering if (and should) I restore the System State from backup, does that
preclude the necessity of reinstalling the drivers? Is this a good move?

If all you did was install SP2 - I would not do any restorations for prior
to installing SP2...

I would visit each manufacturer's website (for each piece of hardware) and
grab the latest hardware drivers for Windows XP SP2 from each site and
install it.
