Restore Windows XP twice to different partitions

Hi!

What I'm trying to do: within a test environment I would like to install
Windows XP Professional twice on the same harddisk. In order to quickly
restore the original state of the operating system I use Norton Ghost to
create a partition image right after the installation process has
completed.

Now my question: is it possible to restore one image to both partitions?
I tried to backup partition 1 and restore it to partition 2 and
configuring boot.ini on partition 1 adequately - after the next reboot I
was able to selection partition 2, but what actually DID boot was
partition 1 ... how do I change that?

A. No. You can only restore the image to the original partition.
