My son accidentaly removed Windos Media Player, so I
downloaded it from Microsoft's dopunload center. Later,
I remember that I could've used the restore system tool
but, when I open the application, i noticed that it had
made a restore point as soon as I downloaded WMP, when I
tried to go back to another restore poit, the system
wouldn't allow me. I believe that the previous restore
points were erased. Any idea as to how i may be able to
restore to an earlier date?. I don't want to restore to
the original configuration though.
Hopefuly someone can help me.

Thanks,

Miguel

Hi Miguel,

Once a restore point is gone - it's gone, there is no retrieving it. Next
time you want to reinstall WMP, just locate the wmp.inf file under
C:\Windows\Inf and right-click it, choose install.
