restore point - msn dellnet

My restore points were erased. Checking the event viewer
under 'administrative tools', opened the log file, had
some red errors.
Getting the details from the MS error web site, it says
that System Restore encountered an error when backing up
a protected file. This error purges all existing restore
points.

I have a recurring pop-up from MSN DELL-NET, keeps trying
to replace my Internet Explorer. The timing seems
synonymous with the errors.

I can't get rid of the MSN DELL-NET; how can I?
I don't suppose I'll ever get back my lost restore points.

Your restore points are gone, but they were corrupted anyway, so no loss
there.

Did you sign up for DellNet by MSN, or were you offered a free trial?
