I bought a new computer for my wife with Win XP. She also
had Outlook Express on her old computer (that came with
Win ME). I backed up her OE data onto a CD-ROM. Now that
I have her new computer up and running, how do I restore
this data on OE on her new computer?

Basically you just have to find the directory where OE stores the mail data
and restore your files in there.

No you don't. You copy the dbx files to any folder OTHER than your message
store. Then in OE go to File-Import and navigate to the folder you copied
the files to. Bear in mind that this will NOT work if you do not copy across
the file called Folders.dbx

You copy the dbx files to any folder OTHER than your message
store and remove the Read Only file attribute, then import.
