restore of win98 .qic files

All of my compuyters are now running WindowsXP, but I
have some old .QIC backupo files that I need to restore,
I think from Win98. How can I restore these files?
WindowsXP restore program doesn't seem to recognize them.

Shouldn't all later restore programs recognize all ealier
backup files?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

No. See "Cannot Restore Backups That You Create in Windows 95, Windows

Hi Steve,

Try this utility, as WinXP cannot use the file compression in a .qic file.
