Restore of backup .pst created duplicate personal folders

I backed up my Outlook 2000 Personal Folders, after having
downloaded & installed pfbackup.exe, and called the backup
file 'outlook backup 11Sep03.pst' (in the same folder as
outlook.pst). I tried a restore of this backup file,
using 'Open Backup', and it created a duplicate set of
personal folders in my Folder List. If I select File >
Backup > Options, it now offers 2 Personal Folders (one of
which is ticked).

I can still send/receive e-mail using the original set of
personal folders, but how do I remove the 'duplicate'
folders to leave me with the one set ? It won't allow me
to delete 'Inbox' and 'Outbox' folders of the duplicate
folder. How do I restore from a backup in future ?

Thanks.

Rightclick on the top of the second set of personal folders and choose
close.

When the original pst-file ever gets lost simply replace it with the back-up
or connect it to Outlook by using File-> Open-> Outlook Data File. The
back-up is nothing more than a copy of your original set.

It's good you tested how to recover and see if it works.

Hope this helps!
