restore from floppy error - lost last disk of set

Is there any way to restore data from floppies, when the last disk of the set
is missing? My guess is no, but I'd love to hear that I'm wrong.
Windows XP SP2, using the Microsoft backup/restore software, and it's the
only backup available.

If the file to be restored resides on a floppy disk other than
the last one then you should be able to restore it.

Floppy disk are about the worst backup medium you
can use, because they are slow, have very small capacity
and a high failure rate. In a batch of floppies that have
lain in a drawer for three years, about 50% will be partly
or totally unreadable.

A 2.5" hard disk in an external USB case avoids all of
these problems.
