restore desktop

Hi, I have just installed broadband and now my desktop has changed. The
icons/font size are massive and I cannot work out how to ste it to how it was
before, basically to minimise the size of icons/font. Please can someone help?

Just right click on the desktop with your mouse and click on Properties go
to setting and move the slider back to 1024x768. if that one is to small you
can set it at any point on the slider that you want.

Try changing the screen resolution in Display properties, Settings tab.
If the broadband install hosed your graphics card settings, you may
not be able to move the slide to higher than 640x480 resolution. In
that case you'll need to use System Restore to revert to a date before
the broadband install and try the install again, or reinstall the
graphics card drivers.
