Taskbar

My taskbar at the bottom of the screen , has an icon for going back to my
desktop without minimising everything. When i press the icon, i now get a
file box opening with all the desktop icons in the field box.
Why has the icon stopped opening the desktop, and how do i repair it.??

Hi
Thakn you but the microsoft web guide page lets me create a notepad,with
code on it, But when i drag it to the taskbar it does not change things.
Worse still the Microsoft file route, does not match my XP, i have no
usename or application data files.
When i go through internet explorer, i have no tick box to show hidden files!
Any last idea

Click Start then click Run, paste the following line into the Open box and
click OK..

%appdata%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

Your Quick Launch folder should open...

C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name Here\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet
Explorer\Quick Launch

Drag Show Desktop.scf into the Quicl Launch folder.
