Restore Deleted User in Windows XP

I accidentally deleted a user and the user files (including My Documents).
Is there any hope of restoring these files?

yes, IF you dont use the harddrive untill you have restore the files.

mount the harddrive as *slave* to another computer
and use a third-part program to restore the files.

Thanks. Unfortunately (as you can probably tell), I don't have much
experience with hooking two hard drives together. How would I go about doing
something like that? Or, should I just try to take the computer somewhere?
If so, do you have any suggestions for me to start my search?

Take the computer to a local professional who does data recovery. If you
have done nothing else on the machine, there is a good chance s/he will
be able to recover the data.
