Restarting Problem

Arif Dhuka

I have a Software and it runs good on other system. Only the system i just
installed XP with SP2 when i run that software the system either restart in
1 second or 10 seconds. Restart just like there is a problem with power
supply but Windows run good while i use other softwares like internet
explorer.

My Software uses TCP connection to remote computer, Have a cardscanner and
fingerprint scanner.
Do you think it may be a Memory problem?

I do get a message sometimes that "Windows has recovered from serious
problem"

Thanks BYE!

You need to contact the mysterious Software's creators for tech support
with their program. They can help you determine what is different about
the computer that works compared to the computer that doesn't work.

Please check your Event Viewer for error messages and post them here
(Start...Control Panel...Administrative Tools...Event Viewer)

Also, go to Start...Control Panel...System...Advanced tab...Startup and
Recovery (press the Settings button), and uncheck the box that says
Automatically restart. The next time your system crashes you'll get a Blue
Screen (commonly called the BSOD). It will have a series of numbers that
will start with the word STOP: Please copy down all the numbers and post
them here. Also, there may be a file mentioned in the BSOD - please let us
know if there was one, and what it's name is.
