Resizing task bar, etc

A friend of mine was working on my computer and made
everything smaller so he could have more space. Now, I
can't seem to figure out how to change it back. My task
bar is smaller, the browsers and toolbars are smaller. I
mangaged to get my desktop back to the way it was, but
not the other things. Any pointers would be appreciated.

Well there are 2 areas to look into, change the
resolution and the other is to change the size of the
fonts.

Actually, there's a third way.
If you are using an LCD display it may be that the DPI setting was 120 and
your friend changed it to 96.
Righ-click desktop, choose properties, go to the settings tab, click
advanced.
Normal setting is 96 DPI but for LCD monitors with a high native resolution,
you can change it to 120.
Everything then gets bigger without the blobbiness caused by running the
display in a non-native resolution.

Check at Display - Settings, click Advanced and see what setting 'DPI'
is on. That will have a widespread effect - increase it to make things
like Dialogs bigger (they are defined as a size in inches, so if you
make an 'inch' need more pixels they grow)
