Hi folks,
I have a quick question for ya's....my laptop came with a HDD with 2 partition's. One is 1.46Gb and the other is 287Gb. Any ideas's as to what the little partition is for ??
The reason i ask is, cos i want to get moving with Windows 7 and wanted to make a partition just for this purpose. If the smaller partition is not for anything in particular, then i could just make it bigger and hopefully save on time and effort. I have already tried to make an extra partiton this evening but for some reason it doesn't seem to want to work for me.
I have made a back up earlier today to an external HD.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Zzzzz

That small partition is the Vista Recovery Partition....Unfortunately you can't get rid of it. Even with a complete reformat. You need to goto the laptop manufaturer website on instructions of removing it...

Thanks MadX.
Will try partitioning again in a bit. Was out looking for meteor's. No sign of anything though.

Zzzzz
