Resizing Gagdets

Is there a way to resize the gadgets (or the shaded reserved area) in order
to fit more gadgets in space?

Also, anyone know of a gadget that could be setup like OS Xs application
dock? Where is can be resized, hide automatically or stay on top to quickly
launch your apps. Gee, why the heck didn't I just get a MacPro - could have
saved me all this trouble in trying to make Vista more user friendly hehehe.
shhhnarf!

But since I am stuck with my 2.5 grand piece of crap, I am hoping someone
out there knows of some apps that may work like OS X.

Do you mean something like the Quick Launch Toolbar?

Whomever charged you $2500.00 for Windows Vista ripped you off. ;-)

But I digress....

Have you researched this topic at all? Vista's pretty new so I don't
know about compatibility of apps but there are SCADS of OS X-like
apps/gui-effects out there for XP.

No, not like quick launch. The OS X's dock can be resized, shows at a glance
what apps are open, and can take up the entire width of the bottom of sides
of the screen. (The number of apps depends on how small you make the icons.)
The cool thing with the dock (among other things like animated icons) is that
you can keep apps open without cluttering your screens with all these tabs at
the bottom; it's just cleaner.

No one sold me Vista for $2500. That is the amount (and more) I paid for
parts, apps, etc. (yes, I actually paid for Office 2007 Professional) in
building the 'ultimate' Vista machine. Since Vista was built from the ground
up and taking over 5 years to develope, I guess I was hoping for MS to buld
something better than, if not equal to, well... Mac's OS X (which I use at
work without a hitch). Since I invested so much money into my Windows apps I
didn't want to buy a Mac (though I can run the apps through emulation - not
sure how well that works). So I guess I was hoping that (MS) Vista would
finally get it right. Since Windows 3.2 I have been waiting... and yet, once
again, got dissapointed. There's always Leopard coming out this summer; so I
would have to say that yes!, it was a wasted $2,500+++++
