Resizing and Linking Problems

My resizing problem deals with the actual opening of IE actually. It opens up as a very small box and it gets annoying after awhile always resizing it. I tried to resizing option, but had no luck. I am not even sure how this happened. With 4 other people using my computer here, I have no idea how half the problems occured sometimes. Any suggestions and help would be great

As for linking, this is actually 2 different problems. The first is on some website, links over certain worlds like "car" will show up for now reason. If you accidently click on it or whatever, you get taken to some random website. Not sure what's causing it, as I thought it was spyware or a virus, but I have found nothing. Second, I am having trouble setting up IE as my default browser for Email and other things such as updating Mcafee. I recently had AOL 9.0 and got rid of that, so that definitely did it, but is there anything I can do to get my programs such as AIM and Mcafee back to using the IE browser to retrieve mail and updates?

Again, any help and suggestions are greatly welcomed. Thanx in advance.

1. Windows remembers the size of the last Normal IE window closed.
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window.

2. You have the Ezula adware. See
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware, Parasites, Toolbars and Search Engines
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
than just those two programs. CWShredder is also available here:

**Post your HijackThis log to

Alternative download pages for Ad-Aware, Spybot, HijackThis and CWShredder
may be found on this page:

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.

Hey, thanx for the help Frank. Ironically, I have tried that resizing method with the window once before, but chances are someone else made it the small size again so I guess I just sort of assumed it did not work. Also as ironic as it is, I cleaned out the Ezula spyware from my system just today, but this "linking of common words" problem has been going on for months. I'll give your suggestions a try though and will reply back if I get the problem solved. Thanx again

As I said, im reporting back Frank. Good news is, I finally got the windows resized. Indeed, I think what happened beforehand was I turned the computer off without shutting down so it did not save. The highlighted links though continue to show up, and all adware and spyware is gone from my computer with the exception of the Huntbar toolbar. In any case though, it's not a big problem at all. Thanx again.
