resize taskbar

XP SP2 and my taskbar has doubled it's size in height. How do I reset it to
be shorter as before. I get the double arrows when I hover the mouse pointer
on the edge but it won't drag to resize. Thanks, Steve T.
 
I found it. Have to move the vertical bar on the left side of the taskbar.
