Frozen Taskbar

One of my grandkids got at my computer when I left the room. He changed my
taskbar to about 1 inch in height. I tried to put the cursor on the edge
and pointer changes to what (two headed arrow)it is suppose to allow me to
make bar smaller. The taskbar will not respond and I cannot resize it. I
checked and the taskbar is NOT locked. Would a system restore fix this? I
do not like to use the restore feature unless I have to, so hoping for
another solution. I am using WinXP pro with SP2.

I welcome anyone's help on this taskbar problem.

Thank you,

Ken A.

There seems to be a real rash of grandchildren messing up computers.
Probably s/he has moved the Quick Launch margin, as follows:

What happens is that the end "margin" of the QuickLaunch toolbar has
gotten so far over to the right that it is now down below. Unlock the
Taskbar and then "grab" the dotted line on the bottom bar and drag it
up to immediately to the right of the QuickLaunch icons. Now you've
successfully made the QuickLaunch toolbar shorter and can "grab" the
top bar of the Taskbar and "push" it down to the regular one-tier
height.
