Is there a way to resize an existing PowerPoint show (horizontally) in Page
Setup or otherwise without distorting all the pictures.
For example current page size is 7.5" high X 10" wide and I want to adjust
for special screen format to 7.5" high X 15" wide. There are many photos
and text that I want to keep in same location and undistorted
proportionately. I will change the background image to match the new size.
When I do it in Page Setup everything stretches.

Thanks for any advice!

Ron

Sorry Ron. PowerPoint will resize images and placement of text, according
to the ratio set in the Page Setup dialog.

[CRITICAL UPDATE - Anyone using Office 2003 should install the critical
update as soon as possible. From PowerPoint, choose "Help -> Check for
Updates".]

Hello,

When you change the aspect ratio of slides in a presentation, PowerPoint
will, necessarily, resize and reposition items relative to the new center
coordinates of the slides. This means that any inserted pictures will be
distorted. Also, since PowerPoint cannot distort text it can only be
resized proportionally (even though the slide has been resized
non-proportionally) so there will be times when you will have to manually
re-adjust items containing text after change the aspect ratio of slides in
a Presentation.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions as to how
PowerPoint should handle non-proportional changes to the aspect ratio of
slides, don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to
Microsoft at:

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
