Resident programs in Windows XP

I tried to run resident program from command line of FAR manager. FAR is a
text mode file manager. When I run my resident program FAR manager
disappeared, as if resident program forced it to exit. It was different in
Windows 98 - resident programs behaved just the same like for instance in
Norton Commander environment in MS-DOS.

You need to verify the compatibility of FAR and the resident program with XP
first.
