Hi,

How can I reset IE 6.0 to it's default settings that were set during the
installation of IE?

Thanks.

Just some additional info. The user is at the login page of our site on
their PC (Win XP SP1, IE version = 6.2800.1106.xpclnt_qfe.010827-1803). When
they enter in their details and click Login, nothing happens and IE says DONE
in the left corner of the browser without moving them to the next page.

They have tried to access our site from another PC with similar specs and it
works just fine. I feel that it may be IE settings but I dont know which and
right now, I'm not too worried - I simply want it working and resetting IE to
its complete factory default settings would give me a starting point.

Thanks.

Hi Jig Bhakta :)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Restore IE'S Default Settings
http://www.aessuccess.org/manage/otg.shtml

or.....

Assuming your IE browser is open:

From the IE browser menu bar click "Tools" then select "Internet Options."
The Internet Options window will appear with the "General" tab selected.
Click the "Delete Files" button.
Check "Delete all off-line content" and click the "OK."
Click the "Delete Cookies" button and click "OK" (For IE 6.0 users only).
Click "Clear History" and click "Yes" in the subsequent warning box to clear
all history.
Restore IE'S Default Settings

Next click on the "Security" button located on top of the Internet Options
window menu bar. Be sure the "Security level for this zone" is at "medium"
level. If any other level appears in the lower section of the box, follow
these instructions:
Click "Default Level" (if accented).
Click the "Apply" button in the bottom left of the box.
Select the "Privacy" tab (For IE 6.0 users only) located on top of the
Internet Options window menu bar. Be sure the privacy level is at "medium"
level. If any other level appears in the lower section of the box, follow
these instructions:
Click "Default" (if accented).
Click the "Apply" button in the bottom left of the box.
Select the "Advanced" tab located on top of the Internet Options window menu
bar.
Click the "Restore Defaults" button.
Click the "Apply" button

IE>Tools>Internet Options>Programs> click Reset Web Settings

Finally, click the "OK' button
Close IE to allow the changes to take effect, then reopen IE

Hope this helps :)
