A cartridge supplier I found recently has a chip resetter so
eliminates the problem. It is Cartridge World - www.cartridgeworldusa.com
- think they are a nationwide franchise.

And have you used this "resetter" on Canon CLI-8/5 tanks and found it to be
functional?

Yeah it works great, unfortunately you need an older style printer for
it to be effective, as newer series printers ie ip4300's only reset
one cartridge of the two at random due to its firmware. An older
series printer like an ip4200 is recommended as it can reset andly of
the 5 black, 8 black/cyan, magenta and yellow. To reset the photo
colour colours a printer that supports them is required.

btw cartridge world is worldwide :)

Are you guys talking about something like this:

Saw the video on youtube. Do Cartridge World local stores carry such a
thing? How much? Thanks.
