I have an ip4500 that the 5 second override function will not work
(Canon disabled it for this model of printer)
Therefore I need a patched driver or chip resetter for the cli-8 &
pgi-5 cartridges
Any help is greatly appreciated before my $200 investment becomes a
$200 nightmare of no cis or refilled cart's
respond via email tnx

I presume you live in the States. Here in Europe the function is still
enabled due I think to it being illegal to prevent cartridges being refilled
(green issue)

Try this link and. I read somewhere on this forum that a member had
purchased an ink resetter and was willing to refill other members empty
carts for $1.50 a time. You can also buy chipped cartridges in the USA.

Hopefully other posters more knowledgable than me can help you further but
the above link is a good place to start.

You should be able to continue by disabling the ink monitoring system.

If there is a cartridgeworld in your area contact them to see if they
have the new chp resetter.
