Reseting IE 6 On XP

Hi, I have problems with my IE 6 on Windows XP Home
Edition. It has issues with Javascript handling, and also
there is a plugin that some other user accidently
installed that causes fullscreen popups of ads with no
link to close them. Also ( which i think is part of the
javascript handlering errors) the cursor (in text areas
on pages with very advanded Javascript) jumps randomly
and makes it hard to type. after a few dozen words the
cursor jumps and whoops! the cursor is up there ^ and the
words are placed in the middle of another sentence. this
is especially annoying when i am trying to write long
emails. it does this of its on free will, not of a
keyboard error or a mis-typed arrow key.

I have attempted to reset internet explorer by altering
the "IsInstalled" regstry key, but only to have the setup
reseting my system. After the windows update has
downloaded the components and is busy "Installing
Components", a message comes up that says "The software
you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to
verify its compatibility with Windows XP. (Tell me why
this testing is important.)" I found the article
at "http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-
us;828031", but this solution didn't work. Either.

So, i tried again, and again the exact same problem
occurs. I am the administrator of the computer and i have
looked through the plugins and components in the regstry,
but nothing seems to be the problem. Is there a way to
totally erase all the non-personalized settings of
internet explorer 6? by non personalized i mean the all
the settings except for my favorites, home page, cookies,
security settings, etc....

I hope i can fix my very messed up Internet Explorer.
Till then, hello Netscape.

Alt-F4 should always close the active window.
