Reset windows to default

My mother died unexpectedly right before Christmas and my
brother has given me her Dell Latitude laptop. It is set
up with a Windows password and an administrator password
as well. How do I reset the system to the default
settings without the passwords? My brother and I have
tried every password we can think of and nothing works.
Please advise.

If that doesn't work out, you might try to reset the local Administrator
password with one of the methods mentioned here:

you can take a cd craker and reset administrator password
to 1234
