Is there anyway to give a machine account the permissions
to reset passwords. I'm looking for the exact permission
or regedit, not adding the account to a group. NOT
running AD.
please help ^_^

No, you would have to add the user to a group that is allowed to do such. --- Steve

Are you sure there is no object(i.e. some object
referrenced by GUID that IS the "change password
permission"). I've seen microsoft do stuff like that b4.
In fact I am willing to bet there is something like that,
even if microsoft doesnt speak of it openly. This object
being the thing that is associated with an account (i.e.
Administrator) in the registry that actually gives the
Admin account the permission to change passwords.
