reset outlook?

I've just loaded Outlook 2007 in order to manage my hotmail. When setting up
the program I (mistakenly) chose the option to import all the personal
folders from Outlook express.
Now that Outlook has synced, there are TWO of each email in each folder.
HOW DO I CLEAN OUT ALL THE PERSONAL FOLDERS AND EMAIL FOLDERS TO ,
ESSENTIALLY, START OVER WITHOUT DELETING THE EMAILS ON THE MSN SERVER?

Did you define your MSN account as a POP account, or are you using the Outlook
Connector?

Are you using POP3 or the Outlook connector?

What was your time line? Ie, did you import, then d/l from the server or
download, then import? How much time between the two actions? If enough
time was between the actions that you can use the last modified date to
identify imported mail - add the field to the view and sort by it. Move or
delete those messages - if there is a chance new mail downloaded at the same
time as the import, then move the mail to a folder and delete it later, when
you are sure you aren't missing anything.

Close the reading pane (view menu) and right click on the row of field
names. Choose field chooser and find the modified date field. Drag it to the
row of field names and click it to sort. Hold shift as you select the first
and last messages with the same modified date field. Then right click and
choose Move to... or Delete.
