reset defaults

1. Rename Normal.dot. This will take care of most of the most obvious
settings.

2. To reset Tools | Options settings and a few others, delete the Word Data
key in the Registry as described in
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/AppErrors/MissingMenusEtc.htm

hi Suzanne, unfortunately my problem still exists. when i send e-mail it is
received as 1 long line of text, i assumed that this was a word problem.

In Outlook, tools, options, mail format tab, Internet Format button, change the wrap
text to something else. My default is 76.

did you see my reply to your question about this very issue? It might not
be the answer, but if it's not, reply to that thread and maybe someone else
will give you the right answer. At any rate, for the same issue it's best
to keep it all in one thread rather than posting a new one, that way others
will know what you have, and have not tried.

hi Ivee, yes i did see your reply and unfortunately it did not solve the
problem, hence the posting here, i can see the logic in your comment about
staying with the same thread, in the future i will do so. many thanks for
your advice and assistance.
