resending email does not end up in Sent folder?

on resending an email from a folder other then the Sent folder, the new email
ends up in the folder used for the original resending rather then in the Sent
Folder, this makes me question if it was even sent or not. i gives me the
feeling that something is Wrong with my Outlook 2003 installation,but i have
re-installed it with NO change?

i went to the specified option and my option has this checked... is this the
way it should be or should it be unchecked?

where do you want the sent mail to go when the original message is in a
different folder?

Based on your original post, you probably want it unchecked -
on resending an email from a folder other then the Sent folder, the new
email
ends up in the folder used for the original resending rather then in the

hi Diane... i would like to have ALL emails resent to wind up in the Sent
Folder. that way i have a comfort level that it was in fact sent out.
thank you very much for your help in this matter. it made me feel something
was very wrong with my install.

hi Diane... i took "OFF" the check on that Option, and did a test. it now
works the way i would have expected it to. Missions Accomplished!
