Requirements to map drive over VPN

We are getting ready to set up a Site-to-Site (Router-to-Router) VPN.
Both sites have Static IPs. The Main Office(MO) we need to connect to
is running Windows 2003 Server with XP desktops using a domain. The
Remote Office (RO) we are connecting from only has XP desktops in a
peer-to-peer network. Once a desktop from the RO connects to the MO,
we want to map a network drive to a folder on the Server.

We have these questions:

1. Does the RO Workgroup name have to match the Domain name at the MO?

2. Can more than one desktop from the RO connect to the MO at the same
time - do you have to setup a separate tunnel for each desktop to the
router at the MO?

3. From Start>Run, what is the command to map a network drive to the
MO? Why can't it just be done the normal way...?

4. Will we be able to view systems in Network Neighborhood from both
places?

These are goods questions.

1. No, They can be any names. However, if you want to center manage and map automatically, you may join the same domain.

2. It depends. However, since you mentioned it is site to site VPN, I am assuming it is router to router VPN, so all workstations in the remote site should be able to access the main office resurces.

3. Use net use command. It can have logon script saved in the startup or join the domain and then run domain logon script.

4. If you setup WINS server, you may be able to browse the remote network.
