request disk cleaner info

will a DVD disk cleaner work ok in my CDRW drive. as i
have not had any joy

ie would i have to buy cd disk cleaner just for this

One other thought though: The disc would have to be in a format readable by
the CD drive. If not, it won't work unless the CD drive is capable of
reading DVD format.
